Gas and Lodging Assistance

While off duty D/Tpr. Mahaffie met a citizen near a gas station. This citizen is originally from Benton Harbor but recently moved back to the area from Wisconsin. He had almost no gas and his lodging bill at a local hotel was behind. He was trying to get to a flea market to work a stand to make some money but was having trouble finding cash for gas. STOP approved an expenditure of up to $250 to help Ian fill up his car and we helped him pay off his outstanding bill for his lodging. STOP also connected Ian with some county wide resources to assist him in getting back on his feet.
